Our Elf on the Shelf!

I have heard about him for a couple years now on a few blogs that I follow and this year we decided to have one in our family as well. He comes to your house from Santa, you get to name him and then every night he flys back to the north pole to report on everything he saw. Then the next morning he is in a new spot and the kids have to find him. Here he is our first morning up on a shelf with binoculars spying on the kids...


I can't wait to see what crazy things Ernie does this holiday season :)

Butterfly Wings

I bought these wings for Addy a while back to start adding girl play costumes to our collection. I've put them on her a few times for fun but this last week she has been asking, she either brings them to me or points and she "eh, eh", for us to put them on her all the time! I love it!! While I was blowing drying my hair this morning she came into the bathroom with them on and wanted me to read this book to her. Such a funny little girl :)

Syracuse Christmas tree lighting

Tonight we went to the Syracuse Christmas tree lighting. I'd like to say it was all fun but that's not the case, Adelyn was fussing the whole time since it was after her bedtime and the boys were wondering why we had to listen to 297 songs before they would light the darn tree. But once it was lit they were all excited to see it and then we had to fight traffic, well traffic for Syracuse, to get home. I'm glad we went though, I love Christmas time and huge Christmas trees :)

Veterans Parade

We went to a Veterans Parade a couple weeks ago and I forgot to post the pictures. I didn't get many because my camera battery died but I did get these pictures of the boys. They're so sweet!

Happy Veterans Day

So thankful for all those that have served and are currently serving, as well as those who have given all. Freedom is not free and we are forever grateful.

70 degrees, in November?!

Yesterday it was 70 degrees here in Syracuse!! It was such a pretty day. I thought we would have had a few snow storms by now but it hasn't been even close to snowing yet. At this point I'm ready for it to snow so we can go outside and make snowman, have snowball fights and go sledding :)

Thanksgiving decorations

The Thanksgiving decorations are making their way up! I had the boys make a couple things this weekend to hang up around the house. They were so excited for our "art projects."

Leaf walk

The leaves here are beautiful, so many different colors! Here's a collection that we had by the end of our walk with the kids the other day...

Halloween!

We had a great Halloween this year! It is absolutely wonderful having Brian home for the holidays! We decided to paint our pumpkins this year....


You even get to see our beautiful kitchen here in Syracuse. The tile on the wall matches the tile on the floor, love it (major eye roll!)

I tried to get a good picture of all the kids in their costumes but we had a grumpy little Lightning McQueen so this is the best I got.


At least these two cooperated :)
