SD Zoo

When Nanci and John were visiting we took the kids to the San Diego Zoo. The boys always love seeing all the animals. They both get so excited looking at the map and figuring out which animals to see first and which route to take!

39 weeks

I know I missed another week, but hey, 2 out of 39 ain't that bad :)


In honor of Memorial Day we used this flag quilt that I made Brian during his 2nd deployment. Thanks to all that have fought for our freedom and many prayers to all those that have lost a loved one.

Refinished desk

A couple weeks ago I bought this desk....


off of craigslist. And yesterday we (mostly Brian!) made it into this!


I was thinking I'd use it as an accent table somewhere but it is actually a little bit bigger than I thought. Depending on how the Syracuse house is laid out we might use it as a desk or a storage table, but regardless I love how it turned out!! Not to bad for $40!

Family photos!!

We had our family photos taken a couple weeks ago by Megan Ann photography and I just got the CD today. It's been a couple years since we had our last photos taken and I wanted some of all of us here in Cali before we moved. I'm so glad we did it, they turned out so cute!!

Slow down!

Time needs to SLOW DOWN! This little girl is getting big, way to fast! She's going to be 9 months in no time, which is way to close to being a year old :(

Beach trip

Today was a very busy day for us. Brian has 24 hour duty for the first time since he came home and I have definitely already become used to him being here to help!! This morning was the MS walk that I was talking about a couple weeks ago. Thank you, thank you, thank you to the people that donated money, I really appreciate it! After the 2ish mile walk we went and picked up a desk I found on craigslist, should be fun to repaint it! Then we went to the beach with the Cate's for a couple hours because the weather was just beautiful!! And that leads to the picture of this blog post...

Adelyn's first time in a swim suit!! Gosh I just think she's so darn cute!! It's just an phone pic but it's all I had with me :)
