Apparently Addy didn't get the memo that she was born in California....

Chopped down our tree!

The day after Thanksgiving we went to Snead's Farm in Fredericksburg, VA and cut down our Christmas tree. Since Brian and I have been married we've always used a fake Christmas tree. I'm not really sure why we started with fake but we just stuck with it all these years. This year though I wanted a real Christmas tree experience for the kids. Quinn was so excited to have a real tree and couldn't wait to smell it. When we got the tree home he said it only smelled a teeny tiny bit but whatever haha. I took video through out the day and put them all together, hope you enjoy :)

Slacking

Adelyn's Birthday

Since company came in town just a couple days after her birthday I'm just now editing her photos from her birthday. I love these of Addy opening up a little doll I got her!

Our trip to the Zoo

My bff Megan was in town with her kiddos last week and we wanted to take all the kids to the DC Zoo. So we rode the metro up, walked to the zoo and about 15 whole minutes later Emma fell out of her stroller (long story) hit her head and had to be taken to the hospital. So Brian and I walked around with all 6 kids. We got so many looks and even a few people came up to us and asked if they were all our kids! Yes, in fact I am the mother of a 6 year old, two 5 year olds, a 2 year old and 1 year old twins! That would have been the easier answer :)

We didn't get many pictures (since we both had strollers to push!) but I had to get at least one to document our day. Definitely a day I won't forget!

First day of school!

Yesterday was the boys first day of school here in VA! They were both so excited for school and had a great first day! I can't believe that I have two school aged kids now. The bus picks them up at 8:30 and they don't get home til 4!!! That's a LONG day without them here at the house with me. I'm going to need to find more activities for Addy and I do to all day long!
